Indian Society of Neuroanaesthesiology & Neurocritical Care
ISNACC is committed to advancing excellence in neuroanaesthesia and neurocritical care through structured education, collaborative research, and continuous professional development. The society emphasizes evidence-based practice, multidisciplinary collaboration, and global engagement to enhance patient outcomes and clinical standards.
The Indian Society of Neuroanaesthesiology and Critical Care (ISNACC) was established in 1999 with the vision of advancing the field of neuroanaesthesia and neurocritical care in India.
The inception of ISNACC can be traced back to the First International Symposium on Neuroanaesthesia and Critical Care organized by Prof. H. H. Dash at AIIMS, New Delhi, in February 1995.
Subsequently, in February 1999, a group of dedicated neuroanaesthesiologists met at VIMHANS, New Delhi, and formally established ISNACC with the support of Prof. A. K. Bannerji.
The first ISNACC conference was conducted in September 1999 at GB Pant Hospital, Delhi, under the leadership of Dr. Mary Abraham.
Since then, ISNACC has grown exponentially, organizing annual conferences across India and promoting knowledge exchange and research.
Recognizing the need for structured training in neuroanaesthesia, ISNACC established its Education Committee in 2008.
In 2010, during the mid-term executive meeting in Kolkata, the society finalized the launch of a one-year fellowship program.
Institutions meeting ISNACC's stringent criteria are authorized to offer this fellowship, ensuring high-quality and standardized training for future neuroanaesthesiologists.
ISNACC maintains strong international collaborations, facilitating knowledge exchange and research partnerships.
These affiliations enable participation in global conferences and collaborative academic initiatives.
With the continued dedication of its members, ISNACC is expanding its footprint in the global neuroanaesthesiology community.
The society remains committed to:
Be part of a growing community dedicated to excellence in neuroanaesthesia and critical care in India and beyond.
