President's Message
Presidents Message
I am honored and privileged to have been chosen as President by the esteemed members to lead the Indian Society of Neuroanaesthesiologists and Critical care and thank you all for this opportunity.
I must recognize the role played by our founding members lead by Dr H.H Dash, Dr. K.J. Choudary, Dr. Bithal, Dr. G.S. Umamaheswara Rao, Dr. Rajeev Chawla and Dr. G. Parameswara and other stalwarts who had the vision to form the Society which has now bloomed into a vibrant and inclusive platform. The Society has grown from a modest organization to a large and ever expanding one as more recognition comes from the medical community and the public for the care being provided. Our mission now should be to take the Society a notch higher by creating awareness and spread the knowledge to every nook and corner of the country to enable the people to benefit from the knowledge and improve patient outcomes and quality of care. This mission will not be possible without the active support of every member of the society and therefore request all of you share your ideas to enable us to implement them . The care that we provide is still not equitable and many are denied the expertise because of logistics and or non-availability of services. This is now our responsibility to identify the unmet needs of the specialty as well as the community and strive to meet these demands.
In the recent past the team led By Dr. Virender Jain , Dr. Girija Rath and Dr.Gyaninder Pal Singh have made a tremendous contribution by introducing post-doctoral fellowship programs in Neuroanaesthesia and Neurocritical Care and the introduction of the e-education platforms. This has helped new members to share their expertise and at the same time provide the recent advances which has been useful to students. This is certainly not the time, however, to rest on our achievements as there is more to do. We must make educational videos, media write ups high lighting the goals of the Society with our motto being “Patient first “principle. The next step would be to identify gaps in the knowledge and conduct extensive research in these areas to find solutions. We must collaborate both at National and International forums for joint research .The goal to nurture now is to produce disease and procedure specific guidelines and create awareness in the group.
Achievements will follow when we all work together as one big team to take the Society to reach greater heights and I request your full support to achieve this goal. We must give hope to the future generations. Long Live ISNACC.
With Regards
Dr.V.Bhadri Narayan. M.D
